Shoutcast + AutoDJ (Broadcast Live Shoutcast Streams or Automatic DJ Streams)
These are custom made plans, because we create them manually and they require
a domain name or sub-domain to create web hosting which is required for AutoDJ.
We use CPanel - An advanced web hosting system, to create our Shoutcast accounts.
CPanel is scaled down to only show the features required for Shoutcast + AutoDJ.
Login to your CPanel using your Web browser to manage your Shoutcast stream.
Login to your CPanel using an FTP client to upload your music files for AutoDJ.
Create a folder to upload your audio files; AutoDJ streams your music on-demand.

Our Shoutcast + AutoDJ Plans include web space so that you can upload your music
using your FTP client, set up an AutoDJ to stream the audio files you've uploaded.
This is very useful for when a live dj is not using your stream, or maybe you're
out of town or your computer is offline for whatever reason. You could login to
your site from anywhere using FTP, upload new audio, set AutoDJ to stream them.

The main purpose of our Shoutcast + AutoDJ Plans:

Users can make use of the Shoutcast technologies and manage their live stream.
The ability to upload your mp3 files for use with AutoDJ, replacing a live dj.
When a live DJ is not streaming, you can have AutoDJ run your station for you.
If you have your own domain name, this would work best. (recommended)
We will create your custom Shoutcast account on your own domain name.
You can buy a cheap domain name at Godaddy.com for only $8 per year.
Or we can register a domain for you for the sum of L$ 3000 per year.
Your own domain represents your services better than a sub-domain.
We can create Shoutcast accounts + AutoDJ features on sub-domains also.
Example: www.YouRadio.dreamstream-media.net
You can use your domain or sub-domain when giving out your url to listeners.
Example using your own domain:
www.yourdomain.com:RadioPort instead of http://your_radio_ip:RadioPort
Example using a sub-domain:
www.sub-domain.dreamstream-media.net:8000 instead of http://your_radio_ip:8000

Your station will be listed on Shoutcast and your Shoutcast status page.
Visit this page in your web browser by using your shoutcast stream URL.
Example: http://radio_ip:RadioPort or use your domain name as shown above.
You can login to your admin panel from this shoutcast page,
Or you can login to your admin panel using your admin url
Your admin page shows your listener status and djs who are using the stream.
From the admin page you can boot/kick listeners or a dj from the stream.
Your admin url would look something like this:
www.ip:radio_port/admin.cgi (not your domain or sub-domain)

When you want to set up an AutoDJ / Automatic DJ Stream
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You first have to create a folder/directory in your CPanel.
You do this by logging into your CPanel using your FTP client.
In your FTP client, for Hostname; use the sub-domain or domain for your account.
More info about using an FTP client in the FAQ section at the botton of this page.
Goto the www or public_html directory
Create a new folder in this directory; for example: "music"
This folder is where you will upload your audio/mp3 files.
Your mp3 files should have the same, bitrate, sample rate & channel
You will enter this new folder path later, when setting up your autoDJ
Next you need to login to your CPanel www.yourdomain.com/cpanel
In Cpanel you will see all the features of your Shoutcast account.
Click on the icon "AutoDJ Features"
On this page you can setup your AutoDJ
Title : Give your station a name
URL : If you have your own domain on this account, you could download
the script in your Shoutcast panel under "Download Scripts/tools"
Change the settings and upload this script on your own web site.
Example: http://yourdomain.com/radiostatus_script/

Gave your music style a category/genre
MP3 Store :
This is the path to the folder/directory you created in CPanel.
Example: /home/user/music/ (replace "user" with your CPanel username)
Shuffle :
On / Off (This option when enabled will shuffle your audio files)
Public : Yes / No (This option sets your stream public or not)
AutoMix : (This option will auto mix your music, faiding in songs)
AutoMix Length : ( Length is MS. )
Bitrate : 128
Channel : Mono or Sterio
Quality : ( Quality is from 1-10; 1 is best, 10 is fastest )
Put information here for user interaction (AOL IM, ICQ, IRC) - ( Not Required )

An example of setting up an auto dj:
If you ftp into youe CPanel account and create a folder called
"music" in the www/public_html directory, the path (MP3 Store)
to the music folder Would be something like: /home/user/music/
The music folder is where you have uploaded your mp3 files.
When you start AutoDJ it streams your audio files in the order they are uploaded
If you enable the Automix option, AutoDJ will fade in each new song as they play.
If you enable to Shuffle option, AutoDJ will stream your audio files randomly.
Personally i like to record my live mixes and upload those files if using AutoDJ,
But it takes a lot of work to create something worth listening to over and over

Users can download useful tools, live listen script, download and usage details included.

Users can download this script from the "Download Scripts | Tools" section of their CPanel
Customize the script and upload it to their website or anywhere on the net.
What this script does on your website:
Radio listeners can listen to your show on your website, without the need for other player support.
Flash player, Media Player, Quicktime Player, Winamp, Real Player
Online Status + Statistics:
The liveListen script shows the radio status and statistics, now playing, current DJ to online
listeners. It will also show if radio is online or offline.
Configuration:
Easily configure everything.
There is no need to edit every page. One config file for all players using config_radio.php

Bitrate Abuse Logs:
The system checks the bitrate at which you are steaming and if you are streaming higher
than the limit you're provided then it will stop your radio stream and inform you via cPanel.

Intro-Backup Features:
BackupFile can specify an mp3 file that will be streamed to listeners over and over again when
the source stream disconnects. This feature is useful when a DJ changes on the radio.

Bandwidth Abuse Logs:
Bandwidth usage details and abuse logs if bandwidth exceeded (Your monthly bandwidth is unmetered)
So you don't really need to be conserned about this feature when you're streaming with us.

How do i login to my CPanel to manage my Shoutcast account?
Please use the CPanel web url proviided with your account
If you provided us with your own domain name, you would login to your CPanel with:
www.yourdomain.com/cpanel
If your account was created using a sub-domain, you would login to your CPanel with:
www.subdomain.dreamstream-media.net/cpanel
Use your CPanel username and password to login to this area.

What is MP3 Store and what should i enter for this option?
For MP3 Store;
Enter the Path to the folder you created in the www directory of you CPanel.
This is the folder that you will upload your audio files to.
If you login to your CPanel using your FTP client and goto the www directory
For example; Create a folder called music in the www directory of your CPanel.
You would enter in MP3 Store:
/home/user/www/music/
Replace "user" with your CPanel username

How do i login to my CPanel using FTP to upload my audio files?
Please use your CPanel login information when login to your CPanel using FTP.
For this example we're going to use the freeware FTP client called FireFTP.
FireFTP is a free, secure, cross-platform FTP client for Mozilla Firefox
which provides easy and intuitive access to FTP servers (your CPanel).
Download FireFTP from this link and it will install into your Firefox browser:
http://fireftp.mozdev.org/
When you restart yoor Firefox browser Fireftp will be installed.
You can run FireFTP by clicking Tools in your firefox browser and select FireFTP.
So now that we have FireFTP Open in a new window we are going to login to CPanel
Click on "Create New Account" on the top left of FireFTP,
The Account Manager Window pops up
Enter any name for Account Name
Enter your CPane url/domain name for Host
*For a sub-domain enter: http://subdomain.dreamstream-media.net/
*For a domain name enter: http://www.yourdomain.com
Enter your CPanel username for Login
Enter your cPanel Password
Click Connect and you should now be logged into your CPanel
On he left panel you will see a panel showing the folder structure of your computer.
On the right side you will see a panel showing the folder structure of your CPanel.
If you want to create a new AutoDJ, you would first login to your CPanel using FTP.
Then goto the WWW directory by left clicking on www on the right panel in FireFTP.
This will open the content of the www directory in another panel on the far right.
In here you can create a new folder. right click with your mouse and select "create new directory".
In the left panel you can use the Browse button to search for files on your computer.
When you find a music file you want to use you can drag it into the right side panel.
Drag it into the new folder/directory that your created inside the www directory.
Or right click the file you want to upload and select "upload"
All you need to do then is sign into your CPanel in your web browser and goto AutoDJ Featires icon
And set up your AutoDJ features explained above
