I'm Builder, and as you may have guessed, I like to build things. As a builder, I appreciate tools that make building more fun and easier so I'd like to tell you about the Link Mirror by KinEx. I was an alpha tester for this product, and I just want to say that it is invaluable. It is an awesome and powerful gadget that will cut your building times in half for symmetrical building projects. Link Mirror works for, but is not limited to :
• homes and structures
• avatar attachments
• vehicles...
• and practically anything that can be linked!
Link Mirror works on ANY regular prim and its parameters including:
• ALL prim types…box, cylinder, etc
• ALL parameters...path cut, hollow, etc
• ALL flexible prim types
• ALL textures and texture parameters...bumpiness, shininess, mapping (default or planar)
• and ALL colors
Link Mirror also works on sculpted prims, and will even copy the contents of the link-set's prims including running scripts. The only thing Link Mirror does not currently mirror are nano-prims (those smaller than .01 meters) and megaprims (those larger than 10 meters) which may change due to demand.
So as you can see, you're pretty much limited only by your imagination!
It's fun and easy to use. First make half of an object (a link-set up to 255 prims), then add scripts to the link-set, and the LM system will recreate and reflect the build according to the position of the link-set in relation to the mirror plane. It's such a live saver!
