Have you dreamed of making lamps, but lack the scripting know-how to make the lamps you dream of? Well, stop dreaming, and start building them! :D

Robin (Sojourner) Wood has just released a set of scripts that let you make your dreams a reality!

Using these scripts, you, too, can create a lamp that gives the owner a menu when touched, allowing her to turn the lamp off, turn it on, or make it automatically turn itself off at dawn and on at dusk.

You control exactly how the lamp functions; from the color, intensity, range, and falloff of the light, to the timer that checks for the sun position in Auto mode.

You can make the lamp look like anything you wish, with a separate switch, light bulb and shade(s). You can even make the shade and bulb change textures when turned on and off, for amazingly realistic results.

Robin explains exactly how to do it all; and it's all as easy as dropping the included scripts into the prims, and setting parameters on a notecard that is only read when the scripts are Reset (to save lag and time.)

If you have some scripting ability, you can also add your own scripts, for even more functionality. Robin explains that, too.

The scripts are available now, in three configurations.

Transfer Only for L$50, which lets you make a single lamp to keep, sell, or give away, and also lets you try out the scripts for a limited outlay.

Copy Only for L$200 which lets you make as many lamps as you like for your own use.

Copy/Transfer for $2000, the commercial version, which lets you make as many lamps as you want, to keep, sell or give away. (You must agree to disable either Copy or Transfer before selling or giving away the lamps.)

If you buy one version, you can always upgrade to the more expensive at any time, for the difference in price between what you paid, and the current price of the more flexible scripts.

Come check it out, at the Script Shack - Livingtree (30, 143, 21)
