METAMOVER 4.0

-Turns any object into a non-physical Mover OR passenger-Tram.

-Includes a Tour Rezzer that- depending on the version you purchase- can create temp-rez Trams for guests, or rez rean-n-go movers on a timer or trigger.

-The Metamover is a Master Control System for your Ride, Sim Tour, Bot-Path, etc. Once a Mover reaches it, any NODE can Play Sounds, Read a Notecard and/or give a Command to other scripts in the sim.

YES! - The Metamover can still cross sim boundaries! :)

WHAT IS THE METAMOVER?

The Metamover allows you to turn any object into a (non-physical) moving object or passenger Tram. It can also be used to animate and move SL Bots along pre-defined paths.

The newest Metamover also serves as a Master Control System for your ride, bot-path, sim tour, etc. As the Tram moves along its path, it can send commands to other scripts anywhere in the sim. This is great for any time you want the Tram to trigger an event or special effect.

Originally developed to move trams inside amusement park rides, this system had to be highly versatile. It allows your Tram or other object to move in ANY direction (in all three dimensions!), and can rotate to "look at" any point you set. It even allows the Tram to move in one direction while facing an entirely different direction.

It was also necessary to program the Metamover system to handle multiple Trams at once. The resulting system can handle any number of Trams at the same time!

The versatile nature of this system also meant it could not work on a simple train-style track like other Trams. Instead, the Metamover utilizes a system of Node-points. Just rez a Node anywhere you want your Mover to 'Travel To' and/or 'Look At'. Your Mover will follow the Nodes in order. Then, once the final Node is reached, the Mover can STOP or LOOP Back to the first Node and continue moving! The Nodes can be turned invisible once they are set, OR removed entirely!, so the entire system is completely hidden.

PLUS - the Nodes can play up to two different sounds when a Tram reaches them! I call one of them the "Brakes" sound, as it plays when the Tram reaches the Node. The other is the "Take Off" sound, which plays as the Tram leaves the Node behind.

If you move the Nodes once they are in place and configured- they will update their own location. Then simply reset and re-configure the Mover (just takes seconds!), and it will be able to find them!

The system has been designed to be completely self-contained (and copyable!)- so you can set up multiple Node systems in your Sim and they will NOT interfere with one another!

WANT TO SET UP A SIM TOUR?

The Metamover also has the ability to read out a Notecard upon reaching any of its Node-Points. The Notecard is located in the Node itself, and you can put any text you wish into it. Just open it, type your text, save, and close. Then touch the Node and set it to read the Notecard with one click of a button. It's that easy!

The Tour Tram itself can be rezzed for each use by a Rezzer- which has TWO modes. The first- Display Mode- will cause the Rezzer to become invisible and rezzes the Tour Tram above it. It will wait for someone to sit down before launching itself, and then the Rezzer will rez a new Tram .

The second- On Touch Mode- leaves the Rezzer visible and adds a customizable Hovering Text inviting guests to touch the box for a Tour. Upon touch, the Rezzer creates the Tram.

Regardless of which Mode you choose, the Tour Tram itself will become temp-on-rez once it takes off. (This does not apply to Rez-N-Go or Remote Trams!) So multiple Trams can be deployed without increasing your prim count. Trams won't hang around after your guests have left them behind! You can also set the Tram to die once it reaches the Last Node.

Of course, the above ONLY applies if you use the Tour REZZER! You can also simply leave the vehicle out of the REZZER and have it run all the time.
