Intended for dance floors less than 100M from corner to corner. For larger floors, dance ball should be in the center of the floor. For best operation, dancers should stay within 50M of the ball.

Copy/Mod permissions, so make it look however you want, and use as many as you want! You can also transfer the contents to another object, but note that LL has trouble moving lots of inventory at once.

== Low Lag ==

Care was taken to make this dance ball script very efficient and low lag. It does one scan per dancer every two minutes. This is at most one scan per 3 seconds on average, which should not cause lag.

It has a single listen to anyone on channel 99, for "/99stop" command. (Dancers can also stop by using the menu, or they can just leave and stop the animation using "Tools->Stop All Animations".) Note that this is not the evil "open listen" that is the bane of SL!

It has 42 scripts. 40 of these are per-dancer and normally do little, even when someone is dancing. However, even dormant scripts take some CPU time, so don't rez dozens of these dance balls. That WOULD probably cause lag.

Note that scripts do NOT cause display lag or "physic lag", they can only cause other scripts to lag. If people are having slow display response or trouble moving, don't worry about scripts as the cause. Flexi hair is more likely to be the problem. (Just try getting your customers to change that, though! ;) )
