I don't know about all ppl in sl,but I know I hate to either walk or teleport into anywhere just to get slapped by 1 or more notecards and a landmark( which usually freezes u in your steps and you are not even greeted by a simple hello,welcome or some type of warm message to give a much more personal touch to you home,club or shop.
Well I have the fix,my greeter script can be placed in any prim( a sign,a picture,the floor or a cutout of a person real or sl avi,I include 7 cutouts with the greeter,make your own or contact me and for a small additional fee I can make you 1).This greeter is menu driven for easy control.
Button 1 is Message:allows you to touch and simply say your message in chat,no notecard to set up.
Button 2 is Meters
ets the range you want the greeter scan for visitors.Button 3 is Visitors:with simple touch lists names of every visitor to come in since the last time you reset the list.
Button 4 is Access:this is a way to lock down a place or eject all avies in range except the owner.
Button 5 is Name:this will toggle either to have a visitor to be greeted by name( I think this is a great way to be more personal)
Button 6 is Seconds:this sets how often you want the greeter to scan for visitors(which cuts lag if its not scanning 100% of the time.
Button 7 is Reset:this resets the visitor list.
Button 8 is clear: this resets all the buttons to default.
All perameters are setup by touching button then saying command in chat.NO MORE
NOTECARD SETUP!!!
This greeter will still pass out notecards and landmarks as long as the note or LM is placed in the same prim as this greeter script!!!
