The E.B. Aeronautica Curtiss R3C-0 was inspired by the animated film Porco Rosso. This lovingly detailed, high prim, physics and combat enabled seaplane includes many exciting and easy to use features!

This plane is the result of many hours toiling away on prim shapes, hand creating textures, aligning textures, and getting the scripts to function just right. I spent a great deal of time making sure everything was perfect, I hope you enjoy this plane, as there will be many more to come!

Feature List
===============

    High Prim, which allows an extremely high level of detail and depth

    Hand textured, fully primmed cockpit

    Superb attention to minute details and scale

    Realistic engine sound, unique to this plane

    Physics Flight Enabled

    CCC / TCS Combat Enabled

    Auto Attach, Auto Detach plane

    Two realistic flight modes: Standard for hyper realistic flight, Aerobatic to allow for high angle rolls and easier looping, without sacrificing realism.

    Floats in water, dynamic controls in water

    Water particles when in motion

    Can be flown anywhere that has at least 25 free prims

    Once you exit the aircraft, the plane attachment will detach and clicking the flyable base can rez a display model (temporary, or permanent) in the exact position you landed, instead of having to rez a new plane and having to reposition your craft.

    You may click the display model to reveal the flyable base, and start flying again from the exact position you landed.

    Copy, no modify, no transfer

About the Curtiss R3C-0
===============

The E.B. Aeronautica Curtiss R3C-0 is a semi-fictional seaplane racer, inspired by the wonderful drawings and art depicted in Hayao Miyazaki's animated film, PORCO ROSSO. This animated film was set in the time period of the 1920's - 1930's; this is widely considered to be the Golden Years of Aviation.

The seaplanes of Porco Rosso were inspired by the Schneider Cup seaplane races that occured between 1913 - 1931. Miyazaki's film also gives nod to the numerous successes of Italian Aviators and Italian aircraft manufactures of this time period.

The Curtiss R3C-0 is a replica of the historical Curtiss R3C-2, which won the 1925 Schneider Cup. Slight alterations to the design include two side mounted 12.7mm Browning Machine guns, and small variations in cockpit. The scale of the R3C-0 in Porco Rosso was slightly larger than the historically diminutive Curtiss R3C-2, which had a wingspan of only 6.7 meters. This model features a roughly 8.5 meter wingspan and a slightly longer fuselage to match the size and scale of Miyazaki's interpretation.

Miyazaki's wonderfully creative adaptation of these planes had them play an aerial piracy role, which allowed the addition of machine guns and bright, attractive livery.

Personal additions include the historical rigging of the R3C-2 to Miyazaki's R3C-0 for added realism.

I created this plane in an attempt to re-capture the adventure and romance of seaplanes and aviation of this era. For those unfamiliar with Porco Rosso, I strongly recommend this animated film; you may find yourself inspired and taken in by this wonderful period of aviation history.

About the "Pirate Aces" line by E.B. Aeronautica
=============================

The Pirate Aces line by E.B. Aeronautica mixes the adventure of aerial piracy with historically significant seaplanes of the 1920's to 1930's. The Pirate Aces line is for the most part, inspired by Hayao Miyazaki's animated film, Porco Rosso. These planes will feature bright, attractive livery, and combat weaponry. In addition, all planes in the Pirate Aces line will be seaplanes.

Frequently Asked Questions:
=============================

Q: Why do you use so many prims?
A: Not being satisfied with only 30 prims for physics enabled flight (and who is?) I sought to create the most attractive planes that also fly exceptionally well. This was resolved by scripting an auto attaching high detail plane.

Q: Does this plane fly with physics?
A: Yes it does, since this plane auto attaches when you sit in the flyable base, we circumvent the limits of SL.

Q: My parcel only has X prims available, can I still fly this?
A: Yes you can! The flyable base is only 25 prims, and the attachment is not counted against prim count.

Q: This is super detailed! Will this slow down the server or my computer?
A: Not at all! The flyable base has no more server weight than a "regular" phys enabled aircraft. The attachment is no heavier than an attachment sword or furry avatar. If your computer can handle SL, it can handle these planes.

Q: Can I get a custom color or logo?
A: This may be possible with the Pirate Aces line. I am still evaluating the logistics of personally creating custom color combinations and logo placements for people. I created these planes out of hobby, and it may prove to be too much "work" to do effectively for people's particular needs and affordability requirements.

The amount of time needed to completely retexture a 250 prim plane is immense, so please consider this if making a serious inquiry on the costs to commission a custom design. For updates on this, please join the "E.B. Aeronautica Updates" group.

Q: When can I expect more planes?
A: If you join the "E.B. Aeronautica Updates" group, you will receive updates on new planes, gifts, and other pertinent information. I expect to release at minimum, 1 plane per month.

For Additional Information, please IM or send a notecard to Mifune Thibaud

Prims:
Flyable Base - 24
Display Model - 250
Seaplane Dolly - 20

Remember, your parcel only needs to support 24 prims for you to enjoy flying this plane! The auto attaching portion does not count against prim limits. ^_^
