From the labs of Munro Imaginary Motors and the stables of Cheval Verite comes the most realistic flying animal in Second Life (drat, used a superlative....but really, I believe that)

Using a unique animation system that combines sculpted animation with regular prim animation, the Bird of Prey flaps its wings, soars, banks and dives (with a tucked wing animation), turns its head and tail, open and closes its beak while screeching, moves its legs, blinks, and folds its wings when perched.

A fully functional vehicle, it has room for you and a passenger, with animations for pilot and passenger.

Animations can be adjusted for laggy sims--choose either the full animation, a more durable but slightly stiffer flap animation (good if you plan on crossing sim lines), or a fixed wing animation (suitable for when smoke is pouring out of the SL server).

Similarly, you can choose between the more realistic "airplane style" controls, or the easier "flying carpet style" controls.

Note: with animation like this, many will be wondering "Does the Eagle use a lot of sim resources?" We've done a number of tests on this, and it has slightly less impact than two standard Animation Overrides, even in full animation mode. When resting, it has roughly half the impact. So, soar away with impunity, unless you're in the middle of a busy dance club ;)
