The I.J. Ginsburg Praxinoscope is modeled after the RL device created by Charles-Émile Reynaud in 1877, used to display short animations.
Information about the praxinoscope and Charles-Émile Reynaud can be found here and here (this one complete with movie clips of RL praxinoscope in action!).
Although we do hope in the future to make this a fully functional praxinoscope, until reflective surfaces/mirrors return/come to SL, our model is for display only, although is a working lamp. To turn the lamp on/off, simply touch the lamp shade.
For in-world examination of the item, a copy will be left out by the vendors in the store.
Copy/mod so that the own may change texture if they so desire.
