Throw away your 10x10 perfectly square blocks of prim snow and use my blocks of sculpted snow for a much more realistic snow effect on your property. (http://slexchange.com/modules.php?name=Marketplace&file=item&ItemID=422758) The package (for only L$ 125) consists of 4 different pieces of sculpted snow that I made copy/mod (no transfer) for your convenience. Two blocks of snow are more rounded for large or smaller size layers of fresh snow. The two other blocks are more spikey for the creation of thicker, uneven layers or even large balls/rocks of snow.
Together with the accompanying snow emitter (http://slexchange.com/modules.php?name=Marketplace&file=item&ItemID=414334 you will have the ultimate snow effect in your sim. The snow emitter only costs L$ 175 and is copyable as well so you can create as heavy and large a snow storm as you desire.
