This castle has a footprint and prim-count that work well for a 1024m parcel--but its level of detail and multiplicity of spaces rival those of far more expensive builds. For medieval, Gothic, Elven, Vampire, Gorean, battle sim, and other role-play needs, this castle has ambiance that will impress.
Whether you choose to use the castle on the ground or in the air as a self-contained skybox, the building experience, sculpties, low prims and high-quality megaprims contributing to this build will satisfy.
The entrance of this fortress keep has been designed for defense: attackers are at a disadvantage as they must battle uphill and overcome both a portcullis and a drawbridge. As owner you can set the locking entrance/exits (the other is on the roof) to admit only you, or you and any other avatars you name.
Inside you will find a spacious and impressive Great Hall. Use the included dais and throne or add your own. The walk-in stone fireplace warms the entire hall and with the flaming wall-torches, adds atmosphere to spare. (Look at it in midnight for the full effect.)
Two lockable chambers, one on the ground floor and one above, give you flexibility with your furnishings and role play. Climb to the roof to find even more space, complete with two storage-towers.
Somewhere is a hidden trapdoor…Touch it when your enemy is standing on it and he will fall to a lockable cage in the dungeon. This dungeon is equipped with its own large stone fireplace, suitable for heating…whatever you feel needs heating.
As set up in Winterdown, with all that’s described here, only 168 prims are in use---meaning that from the 234 prims you get with a 1024sqm parcel, you have 66 left over to play with. (And much of what’s included in your castle package is optional; you can decide not to use the two 11-prim fire pillars, for instance, to give yourself even more extra prims.)
The Castle has a 5m foundation so it can stand on irregular ground. The dungeon doesn’t require you to terraform, but if you can lower your land by 4m inside the dungeon you will find that to be the ideal look.
The Castle has copy and modify permissions.
Statistics:
