Redone as part of the New Toulouse Collection, showing a more distressed style before modern restorations. Based on Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop in the French Quarter , this is an early style French Creole cottage, one of the oldest house designs from the French Quarter. Today this is a ramshackle, atmospheric bar in the upper French Quarter, but legend has it that Jean Lafitte ran a blacksmith shop here that was a front for his many smuggling activities.
Appropriate for the style, it's a symetrical design with two rooms inside, with a dividing wall. Two sets of french doors on each side allow ample access and outside viewing. It has a white stucco exterior, and rough brick interior for a rustic feel, though you have full mod rights to change any texture you wish.
Inside a wall divides the cottage into two rooms, though the wall can be deleted to make it one large internal room. Optional stairs are included for access to an attic loft covering one half of the cottage. Ladder is 10 prims.
Uses Rezz Foo for quick and easy setup.
The footprint of this is 10x20, so it should fit on a 512 sqm plot, though at 66 prims, this won't leave much extra for furnishing, so I recommend at least a 1024 sqm plot for it.
