Item: Landscaping Kit
Location: Spank's Specialties, Oz (128, 180, 26)

This kit provides you with many scripted utilities for easy solutions to many landscaping needs. Traditional landscaping kits are nothing more than an assemblage of simple brainless objects. These utility items are smart and menu operated. For example, the smart rock utility allows you to quickly fill your garden with random rock formations of nearly countless shapes, sizes, and textures. Need to make flowing water? The smart water utility helps you blend a three-layered combination of flowing water textures for the perfect look. The kit contains a terraformer to aid you with land manipulation by quickly leveling or smoothing the landscape. Are you looking for outdoor sound effects? The garden sound utility can produce birdcalls (8 types), animal sounds (6 types), insect sounds (4 types), wind chimes (3 types) and so much more. The kit also includes a particle utility, tree making utility, plant/flower making utility, and waterfalls.

Best of all, all components have copy and modify permissions (no transfer)! You can landscape until your heart is content. All of these items were designed by a professional programmer to offer maximum functionality with minimal lag. Many of the menu-controlled objects will automatically delete the scripts contained within them once you have completed the adjustment process. This lowers the sim load considerably! Keep in mind; you will retain the original scripted objects in your inventory, as the items are copyable.

Major features include:

* Terraformer (flatten or smooth land quickly)
* Sound Utility (with volume and intensity options)
(Wind, water, fire, thunder, frogs, birds & more)
* Particle Utility (dozens of textures and types)
(Butterflies, water splashes, fog & more)
* Smart Rock (make endless rock varieties)
* Smart Water (3 adjustable layers of flowing water)
* Smart Tree (12 textures and many size options)
* Smart Plant (12 textures and many size options)
* Waterfalls (with and without particle splash)

<<< INSTRUCTIONS >>>

When you purchase the landscaping kit, you will be given an inventory folder called landscaping kit, which will include ten items. All items have copy and mod permissions enabled but can not be transferred. Many items in the kit will automatically delete the scripts within them after you set them up. Keep in mind that the original scripted objects will remain in your inventory for future use. The non-scripted model (of a rock for example) can be returned to your inventory and used for exact duplication purposes. The following manual will explain the use of each object. You may not need this manual, as the items are menu driven to simplify their use. If you close the menu options, you may reacquire it by touching the object.

**Terraformer**

You can use the land terraformer to help you smooth or level your land. You must own the land or have land-editing rights to use this item on the property. The object rezzes in the off mode. By selecting the smooth or level buttons you will activate the device. Once activated, you can drag it around your land to perform the desired land operation. The outer square of the device will indicate the area of land being worked on. There are two size options available. Operating modes will also be indicated via particle effects.

Note: This tool is great for small terraforming jobs, but if editing large plots is desired, you may want to consider the purchase of my Landbot available at Spank’s Specialties in Oz. Landbot can flatten an entire sim via one command in only a few minutes. He can also be programmed to perform a variety of other complex landscaping tasks such as the creation of hills and valleys.

**Sound Utility (Garden)**

The sound utility is the perfect tool for creating outdoor noises. The first nine buttons on the menu allow you to select the type of noise to generate. These options include: birds (8 types), frogs (4 types), insects (4 types), animals (6 types), chimes (3 types), thunder (3), wind (repeat), water (repeat), and fire (repeat). You can use the volume button to toggle between three levels of volume and the intensity button to toggle three levels of intensity. Higher intensity plays the sound more often. Intensity level has no effect on wind, water, or fire as these sounds are constantly repeating.

**Particle Utility (Garden)**

The particle utility allows you to create various outdoor particle effects. Use the particle button to select from 12 types of particle generators. These vary from explosions to single floating particles. Use the texture button to select from 12 different texture varieties. The numerical code for the textures are: 1=Glow Ball, 2=Stars, 3=Hearts, 4=Fog, 5=Snow, 6=Flowers (4 types), 7=Ocean Life (4 types), 8=Butterflies (4 types), 9=Leaves (4 types), 10=Apples (4 types), 11=Insects (4 types), and 12=Water (4 types). You can use the intensity button to select one of six intensity settings. Higher intensity generates particles more frequently, level six being almost constant. You can also set the starting and ending colors of the particles. The ending color is the color that it fades into throughout the life of the particle. Color 12 is a random color.

**Smart Rock**

You are probably wondering how a rock can be smart. This device allows you to quickly fill your garden with a nearly endless variety of rocks. Making dozens of random looking rocks can actually be quite time consuming but this utility makes it easy. The lower six buttons allow you to create a random rock shape within given parameters. There are two basic types (rectangular and round) and three general sizes available. The exact size will be random within a given range of that size class. For example, pressing the medium round button will create a medium sized rounded rock but the exact shape and size will be variable. It will also select a random texture. If you get the desired shape but do not like the texture, you may use the texture button, which keeps the shape the same but selects a different texture. Sometimes a tinted color is also added. Once you have the desired rock press Lock. This will delete the scripts within the rock to reduce sim load. The name will change from Smart Rock to Rock followed by a random number. The random numbers help you keep track of different rocks if you want to create a library of exact rock shapes you can copy from. The device will automatically lock about 5 minutes after you rez it if you forget to do so. The original scripted utility will remain in your inventory to be used over and over again.

**Smart Water**

Smart Water allows you to create beautiful three-layered water flowing effects. When you rez the item for the first time, each of the three layers will be given a random setting. The settings include various textures, alphas (level of transparency), and rate of motion. You can use the buttons in the menu to control each layer separately. Layer one is on the top and layer three is on the bottom. You can make a layer totally transparent if you desire less than three layers. You can use the randomize button to set all three layers randomly again and you can select the type button to toggle through various shape and size options. See details on locking to reduce sim load in the above section on Smart Rocks.

**Smart Tree**

Smart Tree allows you to quickly create trees of various sizes and textures. When you rez the item for the first time, a random size and texture will be selected. You can then select from one of 12 textures and various width and height options. You can also select randomize to pick a new random texture and size. See details on locking to reduce sim load in the above section on Smart Rocks.

**Smart Plant**

Smart Plant works just like Smart Tree to help you create plants and flowers. The sizes are smaller and the textures are of course different. See the above section on Smart Trees.

**Waterfall**

There are two types of waterfalls available. These are the only items that do not feature menu options. They both contain three flowing layers. One contains a particle splash at the bottom while the other does not. There is also an item called waterfall sound that you can place near the waterfall to create a continuous waterfall sound effect. Because of the type of object the waterfall is made from, when first rezzed it will appear about 4 meters above the ground so look up if you do not see it. The flowing water is not visible from behind the waterfall.
