The uniform of a General of the Cavalry of the Confederate Army during the American Civil War: a grey frock coat and trousers, plus breeches for wear with black riding boots, gold braid on the coat's collar, sleeves, and edges and hems, and double-breasted with gold winged eagle buttons. Kepi braid and sash in gold (emblematic of the cavalry), sword, rank indicated by three stars on the collar, kid leather gauntlets, leather belt and cross belt with officer's buckle.
