The Four-Horse Club was an exclusive Regency gentlemen's sporting club. Membership was by invitation only, and required that the candidate be a skilled driver of carriages, able to handle a team of four horses at high speed. Only members were allowed to wear the distinctive blue and yellow striped waistcoat.
