Hello everyone! I'm Esprite Xavier one of the developers thats been working with Archanox Underthorn and Ayame Musashi on a brand new combat system centered around katana combat. Though we started out as independent developers we all decided(with much encouragement for KatanaBlade Anubis) to work togeather on a cross platform project that will allow all our Katana to interact with each other in combat http://torley.com/samurai_island_pizza_cats.htm <- Torley's blog entry about the area.  With many months of work, (and many random sword fights in between) we are finally opening the battlegrounds to the public. The Samurai Island Warriors group was also important in beta testing with our bokkens. With things finally getting underway we'd love to get feedback from those who have been waiting for the area to open. We'd also love to hear your thoughts on what you would like to see in the future! I absolutely love this! I've not used the combat area yet, just fought one-on-one with my partner, but it's been a blast!
I hear you're expanding the combat arena, but is there any chance we can setup our own combat zones, perhaps, at an additional cost for a scoreboard and such like the main arena.

Thx Kristian ^^ You should check out the battlegrounds, usually a whole bunch of people around. Its true we intend on expanding/moving the combat area eventually, there isnt a time set in stone when we will or anything yet. As for setting up your own battlegrounds, we don't have anything setup to do that at the moment, it might be an interesting idea for the future though.

Its been awhile here but I thought I'd hit the old thread instead of creating a new one. The community has grown quite abit, and we're all excited for what the future has in store for the system and the people who play! We've updated the combat system, and made the following changes If you have a C  I Blade it should update automatically Features: -Web Based Scoring: All scores are now stored on an external server that will allow us to expand the system greatly in the future. This is in Beta! Scores may be wiped. Each sim will have it’s own scores separate from the rest of the grid, your HUD will tell you your score in the Sim you are in. Http://www.combatsi.com - Score keeper viewable from this website, you can sort by sim name at the moment! Bug Fixes: -Fixed a glitch with dashing that would cause you to automatically dash when strafing. -Blade trails will now shrink until you go into combat stance, preventing accidental clicks. Optimizations: -Script counts in all weapons and sheathes has been reduced DRASTICALLY, by as much as 90% for some weapons.
