I just stumbled upon a fun, brief, solo game in SL. Bravo Bravo, Garmisch (60, 200) third floor has a pearl diving game which is novel, easy to learn and can even win you L$. As it explains itself much better than I could:
Pearl Diving
===================
Brought to you by Bravo Bravo

Diving for pearls is a fun and profitable sport. Travel all over SL looking for the best oyster beds. Fill up your bucket with up to 20 pearls and bring them back here. I will buy all the pearls you can find. Pearls range in value from L$1 all the way up to L$10,000 for the elusive Golden Pearl.

You will find that the rare and valuable pearls are found in the deepest waters. Beware! Sharks and giant octopus live in those deep waters and will attack you on sight. Also, quite a few types of oysters like the areas close to shore lines. Up in those shallow areas there are lots of spiny sea urchins. Don't step on those! They have enough poison to paralyze you for a good while. And watch your air while you are out diving. Running out of air at 70m can be deadly. When you find an oyster, click on it to open it then click on the pearl to collect it. You might want to pick the more valuable pearls until you are low on rental time. You don't want to fill up your bucket with just Orange Beautys. Also be prepared to find empty oysters or just half shells.

Equipment rental is for 10 minutes at a time and costs L$100. Bring your bucket back here after 10 minutes or when it is full. I will pay you for any pearls you find.

Here are a couple good oyster beds to get you started. You might want to keep track of other good oyster beds when you find them. Explore! Some areas are definitely better than others.

[three starter landmarks that didn't paste well]

Quick Start
-------------
1. Right Click / BUY from the guy at the booth.
2. Locate the folder 'Pearl Diving by Bravo Bravo' and open it.
3. Right Click / Wear the Pearl Diver Mask & bucket. ( I suggest doing this after you find the water to save rental time)
4. Drop to the sea bottom.
5. Start looking around for oysters. Avoid sharks, octopus, sea urchins.
6. Click on oyster shell to open. Click on pearl to take.
7. Collect 20 pearls in 10 minutes or less.
8. Use the landmark in the folder to return to Bravo Bravo.
9. While wearing mask approach the counter.
10. Your catch will automatically be tallied and paid.
I paid L$100 to play and was able to collect L$33 worth of pearls. And I would have done much better if not for those pesky sharks. According to the chart, you could find a pearl worth L$10_000, but I expect those are pretty rare.

disclaimer: no connection except as a satisfied customer and think that Sapphire is a really nice guy

It's still here - in the tall Bravo Bravo building. Directly in front of the pearl stand it's Garmisch 69,200. Good luck!
