For a limited period only Splintered Rock Dune Roleplay Sim is offering the chance to ride a sandworm so that you can help us test out and evaluate the system.
To ride a sandworm simply come to the Splintered Rock sim (search for 'Splintered Rock' or even just 'Dune' should work using Second Life search) and buy a Thumper from the vendor.
Don't forget to also get the notecard that accompanies the thumper from the vendor - the notecard contains the instructions on how to summon and ride the worm using the thumper.
Once you have the thumper, head down to the sim surface (follow the red arrows in the arrivals area to a teleport to the surface) and go out into the desert. Then rez your thumper and you will summon a worm. Be quick and you can get yourself onto one of the poseballs on top of the worm and begin your experience. NOTE: the worm will carry passengers - but only the poseball at the front of the worm will allow the rider to control the worm.
The worm will last as long as you ride it, but will be deleted if you try to take it out of the desert.
