I just jumped on this forum after being gone for a while and just went through some threads about LL shutting down games. Are we talking gambling games, like roullette, poker, slots, etc. or games you purchase and can play from here on out?

Im in the midst of making a game reminiscent of the Samurai Island combat system, albeit a different time period, but in order to play, you have to buy weapons and such specific to my game. I just dont want any work to end up being fruitless.

So are combat sims, games like chess and things like that still allowed to be sold in SL or what now?

Yep Gaming is still allowed, Gambling isn't, but the Gamblers like to call it gaming to try and make more support for their cause.

I think gambling is allowed, but only if the game is skill-based.
