I am part of a role playing treasure hunt game and need a second life member to IM the avatar Gemma Gilmour and send the message "I am a loyal member of the Piggy tribe"
If you can do this - thanks!
If you can tell me how to do it, that would be fine too I just can't figure out how to send an IM. I see Gemma Gilmour avatar but no way to send an IM to her.

If you see her standing near you - right click her and choose SEND A MESSAGE from your pie menu. If she is not near you then click on SEARCH at the bottom of the screen, then click the PEOPLE tab, type her name and click SEARCH. At the bottom of her profile screen click INSTANT MESSAGE.

the profile not appearing sounds like a common sl glitch. this happens often when the databases get 'sick.' it is probably not your particular computer/location/client.
