BTCM is a comprehensive Roleplay System which allows for Mech Warriors to pilot the Mech of thier choice in full combat situations, either as a solo pilot or in a player made clan. Additionally there is a sim which also has a combat system for the pilots to enrich thier characters background story and history. There are several classes available to the pilots, as well as armor, weapon and accessory choices.

This is the first multi-comprehensive set of SIMs which are dedicated and built exclusively for both the pilots and the mechs. So whether you are a Roleplayer at heart, or a cold metal machine, we got you covered.

MECHS: There are over 2 dozen mechs in different styles. You might recognize some mechs inspired by Mech Warriors, Battle Tech, Steel Battalion, and some purely from imagination. Additionally pairing up your mech with dozens of different weapons will give your mech different effectiveness for damage dealing, sniping, mobility or specializations.

CLANS: The clans are player run and administered. There are over a dozen clans currently which battle for supremacy in the galaxy. The clans battle for planets, ally, and backstab each other in battle every Wednesday (5:00 PM SLT) and Saturday (3:00 PM SLT)

ROLEPLAY: Creating a rich background and history for your character with other characters is the name of the game here. Roleplay can start or end with combat or not include it at all. Your story is as brief or long as you want it to be, and is only limited by the imagination and time you put into it. The sim dedicated to this is built in a sci fi and futuristic era, as well as all the weapons and armor which give you extra abilities or strengths.

Background:

The Neutrality of Gaia
As the universe was plunged into a constant state of warfare following the shattering of the Star League, a small planet located on border of the Deep Periphery and Inner Sphere was settled by a group of common wealth refugees seeking relief from warrior-centric caste society. The world’s size was inconsequential and it featured a unique electro-magnetic sphere that served to deter invading forces. This was Gaia.

By 3069, a stronghold dubbed Armistice on emerged on Gaia. It would soon become a thriving trading post as the population grew rapidly through the use of genetic manipulation and artificial birth. Unfortunately the heavy exploitation of genetic modification resulted in mutations that produced an assortment of interesting characteristics ranging from growths of extremities, variations in skin color, and animalistic features. While some carriers of the mutated strands opted to replace easily operatable abnormalities with artificial cybernetic parts, others embraced their changes as part of the evolutionary process.

In 3072 the city elected its first official leader by the name of Versus Yuitza. A charismatic woman born of a merchant father and a pilot mother, Versus became the catalyst that would lead to Armistice’s transformation from a closed colony to an intergalactic city of commerce. Upon appointment Versus founded the Ministry, a body of government charged with peace keeping through mediation and occasional force. The Ministry was comprised of Armistice’s military sector and scientific quarter. The Ministry was responsible for a great number of developments that were made to improve the lives of the common wealth.

Amongst those developments was a comprehensive defensive system for the planet composed of orbiting satellites which utilized the natural electro magnetic sphere. This system was effective in destroying attack fleets with hostile intention before they could mount mech deployment. With firm control of the surrounding space, the Ministry turned towards profiteering and decided to open Gaia to the galactic community. Conveniently located, neutral, and rich with cheap resources – Armistice attracted people from every region of the universe regardless of affiliation.

Just about every walk of life ranging from mercenaries, smugglers, clans, houses, and pirates flocked to the city to for residence, trade, entertainment, and occasional diplomatic arrangements. Everyone was welcome.

The Ministry
The Ministry continues their role as the keepers of peace in Armistice today. But their love of diplomacy is limited to Gaia and its immediate space. Weaponry, genetic modification, and technology for war have been their single greatest source of profit and influence. For that reason the Ministry is happy to encourage clans to engage in warfare so long as it does not affect Gaia.

Genetic Modification
Genetic experimentation did not reach its pinnacle on Gaia until 3100. Utilizing frozen samples collected from various species that resided on Terra, a method of gene splicing with the assistance of nanotechnology was developed for the purpose of creating the perfect solider. Animal traits meant to improve vision, hearing, sense of smell, and many other features can be readily obtained from any modification center. Recipients of modifications are to be cautious of “sapien-purists” which claim to be fundamentally disturbed by the altered appearances associated with procedures.

Developer's Vision:

BTCM/MCM already has a large community of combatants that play religiously on our full-combat Mech SIM. But alas, robots and lasers without any type of real immersion and depth can only keep people’s interests for so long.

With the opening of the roleplay SIM, we seek to not only create a strong foundation for our full combat SIM, but to extend our hand to roleplayers who need more substance. No longer will people merely stand around and twiddle their thumbs when they aren’t destroying each other on the battle tech.

Instead, they will have a neighboring world of full immersion that benefits from our award-winning combat script and wonderful builders; a world as intricate and dynamic as our favorite sci-fi novels and fantasies. Be anything, do anything – your limits are your imagination.

The SIM is due to open in one week - the full combat SIM is already open and booming with 35k-40k traffic.
