Looking to develop card games

I am developing a "platform" for creating card games. It essentially consists of a HUD for each player in communication with the table. Currently, I am working on the game Cripple Mr. Onion adapted from Terry Pratchett's Discworld.

I am interested in extending it to cover other card games. Are there any in particular that you would like to see done? I may even consider using a modular system that would allow someone else to use the basic setup and devise (and program) his/her own set of rules, and selling his/her own game version.

Reply or IM Baron Hauptmann (whether or not I'm ingame) for more suggestions or information.

I'd love to see some single player card games such as solitary in its multiple forms. I'd also like to see 2 player games as the one spades game i'm familiar with requires 4 ppl to play.

Any particular 2-player games you want to see?

I had not really (at this point) considered 1-player (unless there might be some sort of betting involved), as one can just as easily play those outside SL . . . .

Honestly, I am looking for a way to fill a void and fill my pockets simultaneously :D

You asked for it...

Here's my idea for a neat card game (bet or social):

'Battle' 31.

Here's the setup:

4 players, cards lower than 7 not used (ranks run 7-A).

Scoring is done on one suit only, and takes highest total (one exception, listed below).

Play:

Players are dealt three cards each, and a 5th set of three is dealt in the middle (after dealer, face down).

Player to left of dealer has the option of taking all three cards in the middle and swapping them with his hand ('taking the pot'). If declined, pot cards are turned face up. If accepted, cards are placed in the pot face up. Either way, next player can see the pot.

Play goes clockwise. Each player has these three actions available:

(No Button) Swap a card in the pot for a card in their hand.

(Take Pot) Swaps all three cards for the pot cards and causes a 'pass'.

(Pass) Decline taking ANY cards from the pot. Causes a 'pass'.

PASSING:

After a player passes, the other three playes have one last opportunity to improve their hand.

Afterwards, scores are compared, and lowest player(s) each recieve a strike.

First player to three gets one LAST chance before being removed from the game. Otherwise, three strikes removes a player. Last player in wins.

SCORING:

Again, scoring is only in ONE SUIT.

In normal scoring, blackjack rules are used: face cards are 10, Aces are 11, and rest is face falue.

Three of a kind of anything EXCEPT Aces is a score of 30.5

Three Aces is 32 (good, as there is no busting).

At ANY TIME, if a player holds 31 points EXACTLY, the hand ends and scores are compared.

Now, I know I'm not best at describing, but I HOPE I got the point across... (and is doable, of course)

I should also add this: I will only script games that I can do without copyright infringements. If you suggest a game and it is not your own, please help me locate the copyright holder.

That said, if I use your suggestion and you help me test it . . .

You get the first completed project and a commission on every other one sold.

THAT said, I am slow and cannot do 20 different games in the next week ;)

Only the name of the game I listed is even close to being copyrighted. Name could probably be changed to Showdown 31 or Elimination 31... Just something to differentiate it from the 'pot per hand' 'standard' 31.

The game itself has been around since the 1500s, and thusly is fairly likely out of any kind of copyright timeframe... :3 (rules for standard version can be found at the US Playing Card Co.'s website)

Of course, you can't really copyright 'house rules', so that should be safe, too.
