Just been directed to this new forum which I welcome. My team have just opened the Pot Healer's mystery quest on Numbakulla, after months of work. We have been getting very positive feedback from the people who have come to play and to explore so far, and of course, we want as many people as possible to get to see and play the game.

There are five prizes of 1000 lindens for the first five people to complete. So far as far as I know, only two people have completed, TheDark Fool and Tabitha Night. So there are three further prizes to be won. Unfortunately this competition is not open to beta testers of the game, to whom we are very grateful indeed.

We also have a picture competition for the best picture of Numbakulla taken in the first week of opening.

Welcome feedback, whether positive or constructive criticism, we are trying to improve the experience all the time.
Thanks!

Going through the quest right now, and trying to post images with *no spoilers*....

Here's my candidate for bad idea of the week! When you're wandering around Numbakulla looking for items, why not sit down on one of these convenient objects, and take a moment to enjoy the scenery? Pay no attention to that noise like small lawnmowers starting up....

Pot healers winners and photo competition
05-07-2005 02:51
We now have four winners of the prizes for the first to complete the quest. The Dark Fool, Tabitha Night, Ante Extraordinaire and Juneurutmp all win 1000 lindens.

The photographic competition is open until This Tuesday 10 am PST. The judging will be at 2pm that day. I know lots of you will have taken wonderful photographs of Numbakulla - please send them to Caliandris Pendragon, marked with your title and your name too please.

If you haven't been to Numbakulla, I am attaching a photograph or two to get your curiosity going :-)

Wow, intriguing and impressive. I'll have to stop in and see it next time I'm in-world (which is not nearly as often as I would like, lately.)

Apologies and advice
05-08-2005 01:28
We have had some crashing issues in Numbakulla over the last few days. Some people have lost items and progress from their notebooks, because the server reverts to the last saved version after a crash. We are very sorry if this has affected your enjoyment of the game.

Of course, we are trying to investigate the cause of the crashes, but at present our best advice is 1) to change the preference for location on log in from last location to home. People who try to log back into Numbakulla after a crash seem to lose items, and those who go home first, don't. 2) log in and out again to artificially save progress. It is possible that detaching and reattaching the notebook would also save progress, but I haven't had confirmation of that from anyone yet. I will post again if I get more information.

The feedback I am getting is overwhelmingly positive, and the team loves seeing people enjoying the game. We will do our utmost to make the sim and game as stable as they can be. We have done our very best to minimise lag, using a selection of textures in creative ways, removing scripts from water and light objects, and minimising the scripts outside the notebook game controller.

thanks
Cali

If you have not been to Numbakulla it's a must see!! I have been doing the quest and having a blast, it's great because you can leave and come back and the game knows what you have done from your the book you wear when you play ;)
This picture I added is of The Pot Healer Adventure.

have all the prizes been won? Any chance of some kind of help? (I'm terrible at these types of games without cheating) Understand I'm not playing to win, I'm playing for the experience, but I'm seriously CLUELESS at this point! What about a hints forum, or something. Seriously I havn't made it through an adventure game without the help of a UHS file ever....clues..please...I don't want to win any $L's I just want to get through the game!!!! :D

It really is a beautiful place though

I want to thank the whole team for providing this wonderful game in SL. Its so well done and fun. Its obvious the long planning and building time paid off. I am pleased to find out I am a winner. I thought I was a winner already just by being able to play it. :-)

Ante's pc went down last Friday and he does not know when he will have a new. I will thank you all in his behalf. I know he really enjoyed playing and said it was challenging. I know he had a great time playing and so did I.

Agreed, I'm having an amazing time there....it's a gorgeous place, and the free stuff scattered all over is a nice bonus. Thanks from me, as well, to everybody who worked so hard to produce it. :)

Um, anybody else out there who is near the end of the quest, is feeling as stuck as I am, and wants to team up to get through to the end, IM me and let's do this thing before we all go nuts! :D

Woot, I finally finished it last night! The place is amazing... I have a ton of pics. Thanks a lot to everybody who helped me out, and a *huge* thanks to the team who worked on this place... it was great fun, it's a really beautiful place, and I'll probably go back to take more snaps. :) The developers did a hell of a job, go check it out even if it's only to wander around and look at everything!
