Did you used to play The Sims Online? Then you’ll most likely love RezTown. Although RezTown is based on The Sims Online, you’ll notice it is different in many ways. Instead of the boring skilling part in TSO, you now earn XP while performing certain tasks. Also, custom content will play a very important role in RezTown, while this virtually never existed in TSO. So how does RezTown work? We’ll provide you with a RezTown HUD that will allow you to keep track of your basic needs: hunger, energy, comfort, bladder, hygiene, fun, and social. When your needs drop, it’s time to green up. This basically means that you’ll have to use RezTown compatible objects to take care of these needs. You’ll have to sleep to raise your energy and comfort again. Eat to get rid of your hunger. Take a shower and go to the bathroom to take care of your bladder and hygiene need. Play games to keep your fun up and hang around with friends to take care of your social. All these greening objects are for sale in our RezTown store for Rez Tokens. How can you earn Rez Tokens? 1. You can earn Rez Tokens by using job objects. You have single job objects (which you can do by yourself) and multi job objects (requires 2 or more ppl). Let’s say you’re making pizza’s with 4 people. Each time you complete a pizza, you’ll earn tokens and you’ll also earn XP. As mentioned before, with these tokens you can play games or you can buy items in our RezTown store. 2. Why not sell your own creations for Rez Tokens? We provide RezTown Vendors that allows you to sell your own creations for Rez Tokens. Although Rez Tokens don’t have a true value, it’s fun and that’s what RezTown is all about. RezTown is a game and you shouldn’t have to pay real money (or Lindens) for anything related to RezTown. You pay a monthly fee and all the rest is free, that’s our motto! 3. Organize events! Just drop down your RezTown tip jar so people can tip you during these events. 4. Make your job objects available to others! By doing this, you’ll earn a nice commission every single day depending on the usage of your objects. You can list your property on our site so others can find you easily. Don’t feel like sharing your property with others today? No problem, simply mark your property as private and we’ll remove your property from the list of available RezTown compatible properties. What else is coming? Lots! But first of all Custom Content! Soon people will be able to make their own greening objects that are compatible with RezTown. We’re in the testing process right now and expect roll-out within the next five days. Interested in RezTown? Take a peek at http://www.reztown.com for more information!

looking good. with a builders kit, this can go a long way. finally, a true purpose to have a kitchen in your house lol or a shower(other than sex, or just to have because a house should have it and having it untouched). And using the toilet lol!
i'll be checking this out when i get home.

Hmm.
I quit Sims Online because of those key things you mention, tracking of: hunger, Fun/Social, Bladder/Hygiene, Sleep.
There was nothing more aggravating than having to run around watching those green bars while at the same time watching my (at the time) 1 & 2 year old. It really put things in perspective, so I quit.
Thankfully SL does not have any such false imperatives in the name of fun.

This is a good idea for people who want RP that doesn't include brutal mutilation. (^_^)

From: Wildefire Walcott I dunno, bladder-relief denial can be pretty brutal. Ha! True! XD I like reading blogs of people that play the offline version of The Sims and torture their sims by manipulating their sexual orientations and leaving them in rooms with no doors and such... I wonder how much that carried over to TSO and the griefing potential of it all. =^-^=

Compatible Greening PoseBalls For RezTown
09-09-2008 21:28
We're very excited to announce the release of our RezTown compatible greening poseballs which can now be purchased in our RezTown store with Rez Tokens.
These poseballs will allow you to create your own greening objects.
We've made 2 versions available: copy and no-copy.
The no-copy version is sold for T200 (and up), while the copy version is sold for T1000 (and up). (T = Reztown Tokens)
The copy version of our RezTown compatible greening poseballs allow you to sell your own creations to other RezTown members. If you're interested in selling your own greening objects, make sure to pick up a RezTown vendor!

Haha, brilliant game concept. Might need some tinkering though on the need decline rates so that it doesn't start to annoy the player. The social need part was ingenious there by taking advantage of how SL works. I especially look forward to the idea of being able to make compatible content, such as greening furniture . I may not be able to help with hunger or social needs but would be glad if I could help out on any, erm, scripting needs

In a second phase we will also make a library available that will allow you to make RezTown compatible gaming objects. This process will however take a little while so we really need to think this through as that sounds much easier then it actually is.
On the greening concern - it's to early for this yet but we will come out with objects that will allow you to green very fast to make sure this process will not become annoying.
