Game boards of this type do exist and are available for purchase. However, due to the gambling ban, poker and other games cannot be played for L$, and this creates a problem because - as most players know - people do not play poker properly when there is no real money at stake.

As you probably know, it is illegal in many places around the world to play poker for money, even a friendly game on your kitchen table. Of course, people do it anyway, and take whatever risk they feel like taking with respect to the RL authorities.

Likewise, for those same people, it is a risk to play poker for L$.

Furthermore, it is illegal in the US and in San Francisco for Linden Lab to *allow* gambling using *their* computer service. Therefore, if they find you gambling for money, they very well might throw you out on your ear, which they pretty much have to do.

On the other hand, like in RL, if nobody notices, then, well, nobody notices.

In the "Extreme" sim there is a game named Trashit and another named SwitchIt, for both games you construct poker hands in a grid and the final score is a weighted counting of the hands you constructed vertically, horizontally, and diagonally.

There are also classic poker game, a wide variety which are "Pay to Play" -- i.e. they do not pay out. Kind of like arcade style. It's cheap to play them
