Mini-Golf?

I'm really kind of surprised no one has done it yet -- or maybe someone has and I just missed it? I could see that regular golf would require an awful lot of land, but mini-golf courses are usually pretty small. Has anyone scripted the golf club and ball? I'd be interested in devising the silly landscapes, or if someone else has done the work, I'd happily occasionally pay a few L$ to wander around the course with a couple of friends.

Well Jack Digeridoo had one for ages in Blue which was moved to Spitoonie when it opened - not sure if it's still there or not as I haven't been for a while, but it's a hoot!

I had this dream too when I first got Ravenglass, I really, really wanted a mini golf course with like each station having some famous building or something.

It was done in Spitoonie. I thought it was good-looking and interesting, but to be honest, I didn't find that it worked well enough. It was hella hard just to get the club and ball working.

Of course, there were lots of oldbies and Lindens showing high scores in the game. So I guess some worked it. But it isn't the popular place it could be, because the physics in the game aren't there yet.

You want to be able to have a real experience of fairly easily hitting the ball, and then getting it to go in a hole. It's faily hard working that out in the game as it is now.

Maybe after Havok 2. Though I think it would be worth it to fiddle the script a bit to help the ball go in the right general direction. That's about all I can do in RL mini-golf anyway, and I still enjoy the game -- I just treat it like pachinko with amusing props. It's more of a social event for me.

There is mini-golf on spittonie island, or at least there was the last time I was there.
