Hello, Just posting a pic of a casual game, BLOX, we have been working on. I love the way SL allowed me to meet collaborators and knock something like this playable proto in a very short time (180 hours). I started learning LSL a couple of months ago on and off between rl activities (like most of us do) and the workflow developed naturally. I learnt a lot from the creative folks on our little team.
Developers Moriz: game concept, game prototype, scripting, some graphics, some sound design. Salems Penguin has done some of the game art. Salem Penguin helped me with the coding of the score board and kept me going. Skeal Nilsson is a kick ass graphics artist and he is going to revamp the scoreboard soon. He did many of the cool graphics. Armand Oud is our sound designer.
BLOX ==== This game is simple to an understand, quickly results in thoughful clicking mayhem, and is designed to be played for very short periods, and involves significant strategy that you discover while playing.
Basically, you have two players who try to hit their goal posts with randomly moving firery balls as quickly as they can by raising and lowering tiles. The scoring goes like this: The loser has to pay the winner in Linden $, an amount equal to, the number of clicks used before losing lol.
Request for help =========== Because of linking and physics limitations, I had to rezz many components of this game in real time... let me know the best way for setting permissions so as to facilitate its distribution.

More BLOX pics
09-07-2005 15:54
I thought I would post these two more pics from the game. They were cluttering my desktop. The first pic shows where the players have to sit in order to play. The second pic shows what the players see, i.e. a top view of the board... Please IM me inworld for beta testing it. As usual, beta testers, you comments good or bad are welcome on this thread. Moriz

Slick! Looks exactly like some kind of standalone 2D puzzler-turned-3D to me. I will have to check this out in person.
