Extreme Slingo! 20 rounds in 10 minutes with over 40 players! No freezes! WOW! Only at Club Extreme and Casino. The only Slingo in SL set to any host mode where anyone can host games at any time! (if my hosts are having an event then please don't host ... otherwise feel free).
We are making progress! Here are the recent bug fixes:
1.) No more "lightening rounds" ... during heavy lag occasionnaly rounds would go by before you could mark your cards. This has been fixed. You can now set seconds to mark with a /88 time <number> ... example is:
/88 time 8
means all subsequent rouns (and games) will give approximately 8 seconds to mark cards after a spin. Min value is 3 and max is 60. A value of 8 seems to work well.
/88 time <number> no longer specifies the seconds per round, rounds now go as quickly as possible with the specified seconds to mark.
2.) No more doubling up on super joker during heavy lag and fast clicking. Previously during heavy lag you could click very fast and get more then one spot marked with a super joker. The super joker code has been moved into what's called a "critcal section" which means one thread doles out the use of a super joker so it's no longer possible to get more then one spot marked when the super joker is available no matter how fast you click.
3.) Crazy clicking is now peanlized with score set to zero. Although the super joker bug is fixed I dislike people continually and mindlessly clicking every spot on the card or setting up macros to do this. Because of this crazy clicking is detected and when detected the player is penalized with thier score being set to zero. Clicking over and over forces the buttons to run through unnecessary code causing lag for everyone so this penalty is justified. Rest assured I have a high threshold for this detection an unless you are seriously abusing your card you will not be hit with the penalty.
4.) Completing the card on the last round was not always detected (racing condition). This is fixed. If anyone sees any more occurances of this let me know.
All the above bug fixes were done in such a way that performance was not degraded ... you can still play 20 rounds in 10 minutes or less ... even with over 40 people! woot!
