Yes, I am an Evil King! I rule my lands as I wish. The following poorly written tale has been circulating throught the lands, and I am stating here and now, anyone caught tampering with my SLabyrinth will feel the wrath of all my evil. [muhahahah]

SLabyrinth: The legend of [evil] King Mal Udal

King Mal Udal enjoyed two things. Watching his people suffer and playing poker with the Queen or other Ladies in the Court. All throughout the kingdom, the people lived in fear of the evil king. They toiled in the fields during the day and worked in factories in the evening.

One warm summer morning a baby was born in a meadow. As the new mother held her newborn, she made a promise. She was not going to let her son live his life under the evil king. She packed her measly belongings and ran away.

This woman had never lived off the land before, but certain things came naturally to her. She followed the sun west and never looked back.

News of this departure greeted the king with his morning coffee. Outraged at the loss of a headcount, he made everyone in the kingdom work during lunch hour for three weeks.

The boy grew strong in the wilderness. His mother taught him how to live free and about the horrors of the Evil King.

On his thirteenth summer, the mother told him about the SLabyrinth. When one of the serfdom died, the Royal Priests trapped their eternal souls in a monument on a mountain. The SLabyrinth was a reminder that even after you died, you still were under the King’s control. He harnesses their spirit energy to keep him rich and youthful. The SLabyrinth walls grow red when he is drawing power, and green when he is not. The evil king’s priests reward citizens for performing the task of ‘blooding’. Torturing the souls of the SLabyrinth.

His mother taught him a secret. If a wall is glowing green, you can release some of the spirits trapped inside. “You must be careful, if you touch a red wall, it will cause pain to the spirit and some of the souls you have released will sacrifice their freedom to ease the suffering.”

The boy looked to his mother and asked “How can I go about freeing these souls?”

“You must venture back into the kingdom and find the SLabyrinth. Find the corrupt priest and bribe him for the current access code. Make him believe that you are there to perform the ‘blooding’ ritual. You won’t get paid by the priests, because they can only measure the evil activity. They will just assume you are to weak to perform the task at hand.”

“There is rumor of a good prince who will reward you for your good deeds and pay you for your troubles. Don’t seek him out, he will find you if you free the most souls during the ritual.”

Hi,
The above post is the backstory for the game I am creating over in Warmouth. I posted a postcard of the Maze the other day. I am maybe 75% complete, but I wanted to get y'all excited. Currently the SLabyrinth exists with red and green walls and when you collide, it will report how many souls are released. Feel free to run about and have fun. I will be online tonight RL permitting to get some scoring mechinism in there.

Thanks for taking the time to humor me.
Scopi Pascal (the good prince)

The HUD shows you your score.

The maze is now a giant block of cheese. The walls are worth 1 point. The roaming balls will take 5 points.

Let me know if you like it.

Thanks,
