'The Runing Man' That would be kinda neat, a running man event in SL, where the competitor has to get from A to B and withstand people placed/hiding around the course attacking with guns, vehicles etc. Obviously no orbitting or caging but use of guns that push/damage etc Maybe even a prize for the person that makes it! We have everything you need in Sl, terrain, guns, vehicles (cars & motorbikes) and of course..people!! People could even watch the event on monitors around SL and route for their favourite victim..er competitor (no betting of course) Go Ben Richards! <Now where is that film!?>

Also we have lag . I think RPG games in SL are only for ppl living near San Francisco and with ultra fast NASA computers. For the rest of us is almost impossibe.

Isn't that called "building in a sandbox"? But, as something with a vaguely similar plot, The World Ends With You has a _huge_ amount of SL potential. (I mean, it offers a real explanation for label-pin nuclear missile launchers )

i think you mean FPS games. RPG games are relatively slow-paced.
like whatsit, i am legend? good idea and all, but trying to shoot the not-real-weapons guns i hear is hampered by a lot of lag.
but who WOULD know would be the combat sim folk. they have weapons, and some have vechicles, too. and if its not overloaded with ambushers and racers (say, five racers and ten people per sim to ambush them), it should be fine.
lag is just another obstacle. look at the giant snail cross country relay for life (www.slcn.tv). all that is, is running through about 42 sims. of course, you get about 80 people trying to run it at once.... you get lag. and the lag weeds people out. so 40 people might be starting in the first sim at the same time, but only 5 or so will hit the finish at the same time.
some of the dystopia/grunge/cyberpunk sims might be interested in putting together such an event. might ask around there, taz.

It's call designing a SIM for it, most lag is client side and I get better pings in SL then I do from WoW(living in Wisconsin to boot).
you're not going to be using a different texture for every wall because it looks cooler, you can even use grey scale textures+coloring, stretching, repeating, and prim efficiency to get even bad computers running nicely*.
bad would be an old dell with a nice processor(dell always puts in very good processors when compared to everything else), 256-512 MB of ram, and an old video card.
in RP Sims I can comfortably have all my SL development tools, forums, and some homework(think eclipse or visual studio) open and sandbox in my apartment/condo. with just 1 GB of RAM and 512 of VRAM.
