PvP?

I have some friends who are coming in from an MMORPG and they were asking about combat in SL. I have not done any, I am a lover in SL not a fighter

Any good PvP games/contests/etc. around? I know that forced PvP is a no-no, of course.

There is Minerva, its a PvP game and the latest upgrade, out soon, will stop (well punish) people if they TP out of a battle (which has been the biggest complaint about PvP, just when your about to throw that final blow they TP out, or after they are killed they TP before the transfer of items)!
Have a look for Minerva in find. And come and have a look. We're just building a newbie centre to try and get newbs into the game quicker, or check http://www.sl-minerva.com

Don't forget any combat sim like Jessie and Rausch. there force PVP enabled tho, moment you cross boarders, your a target....
