Horror RP looking for players

"You wake up. Groggily, you realize what where you are now is not where you were, but strangely you can't remember exactly how you got here. Rather, you aren't even sure where 'here' is. In the dim light filtering through the stained paper walls you come to a sudden realization. You are trapped, and you have no idea why."

The "House of the Crimson Wings" is a horror RP set in a 'haunted house' with a japanese theme. The environment is inspired by games such as fatal frame and silent hill, liberally mixed with japanese history, mythology, some anime, and taking some RP flavor from games such as Call of Cuthullu and Beyond the Supernatural and blending it into a new RP environment.

I am a GM with over 12 years of tabletop experience in over 8 different games and many more environments (fantasy, sci-fi, horror, post apocalyptic, modern supernatural, etc), as well extensive online RP experience in muds, chats, forums, and IM RP. I am looking for horror lovers, preferably those who enjoy horror as much as I do and are story focused players who are mature and enjoy playing somewhat dark characters, realistic, twisted, and a bit nuts and aren't afraid to delve to the darkside of the human mind and soul in play.
This would be for a game with story lines and regular play times in the evenings SL time, so about 9pm SLT to 12 am SLT weekdays (except weds.), possibly earlier on weekends, but the weekend is unscheduled right now.

Characters do not need to be japanese or even familiar with the environment to begin. Characters can be from modern day or historical ( from other times, but modern day is prefered), but I am looking primarily for humans (or mostly human, at least in appearance), if you want to play something that isn't human, there are spirits and demons, but you may want to msg me first to see if the role is interesting to you.

This RP probably won't be much fun for people who have really shallow, happy shiny characters that are heroic. This is definitely an RP for the darker hearted players who like to torture the hell out of their characters and delve into the shadow of the human heart.

While there is storyline RP going on while the GM is on, players are free to play and interact with each other at any time if they desire. I'd really be interested in playing however are new players in SL allowed to participate? I've only been playing SL for a month approx'

I don't care if you are new to SL as long as you are a mature player who is willing to work with me as a GM and wants to have fun with me and other players interested in the same thing. I realize there are a lot of new people in SL who are probably not new to roleplaying, which is more what I care about. I'm more than willing to help educate people on the nuances of RPing in SL (which is kinda unique).

Because its story based, I do tend to require a bit more effort in the character creation and tend to interview people before I officially allow them into the game to get an idea what they are like and their preferences as a player, yada, but I try to judge people on who they are, rather than their creation date. This is likely not going to be a big group (I just haven't found that many people who are interested in a horror game like this, but if it gets big, I still have ideas to handle it), but for the right people, I think it will be highly rewarding play. Certainly unique if I can pull it off the way I want to. An intimate group allows for a lot more interactive story between the GM and players than some of the larger RPs.
