I was messing around in Torley Linden's box where you can edit terrain in Here yesterday. I threw out physical objects onto the ground just to watch them react as the ground caved in or move up around them. They happened to be assorted international coins I designed, and someone came to watch, so I thought up a neat trick. If I useda several years old coin flipping script with coin jingling sounds, I can flip the coin. The more you click, the higher the coin goes. Clicking and dragging shoots it forward.
So I was doing this with a newly found friend in Here, watching coins crash into other coins and send them flying against walls. Then two more people approached, because all the giant coin jingling was pretty loud. One of them built a giant shot glass and challenged us to shoot the coins into the glass. It was really hard at first, but after a while, I think I found the right method.
So I played and I played, and when I left Second Life, it had been...five hours. Wow, did that time fly by fast.
