The league was established in early 2006 and here in 2009 continues its tradition of challenging and professional game play. We're the longest running, largest hockey league inside SL. We boast a realistic, extremely detailed and professional scripted game which is the finest team sport script inside Second Life. You'll see exciting, fast-paced play with brutal checking, intense competition and an enthusiasm unmatched anywhere else.
We have 2 private Class 5 sims and a unique hockey rink built specifically to optimize movement and convenience for players and visitors, low prim and rendering to minimize lag. It is situated 400 meters up for best performance. We have spectators on one sim and the game itself on another to help battle SL lag. You can also visit our gorgeous Hall of Fame with years of history and player recognition. While you're at Jericho Hill, be sure to check out the Stanley Hotel on the ground level. This build is based on the Stanley Hotel in Estes Park Colorado and hosts our Hall of Fame, and bar Below Zero where our players come to relax. Season 8 started May 24th. We're always looking for new folks to welcome into our hockey group and get you started so you can jump into the action. New folks are welcome to jump in at any time during the season. We will be starting Season 9 later this summer and now is a great time to hop in and learn the ropes.
You do not need RL hockey experience to join. All equipment and play is free. Men, women, furries and carebears, anyone is welcome Stop by the rink any time and you can pick up free sticks and try out the game. At almost any hour, there are vets around who can help you. Join the group Global Online Hockey Association, and you'll hear about the many daily events. Usually, we have a couple games scheduled every day and also break into sudden scrimmages announced in group chat.
Once you're drafted onto a team, you will receive a free, personalized jersey with your name and number.
Divisions & Teams:
Farm: Eagles and Crocs. These teams are made up entirely of rookies and are used as our training ground for new players. Contact Anhayla Lycia for more information.
North American: Cobras, Ice Lords, Moose, Whales and Wolves. These teams play Tuesday and Thursday nights, and Saturday and Sunday during the afternoon. Contact Vivienne Coppola or myself for more information. North American division will be expanding to 6-7 teams in Season 9 due to significant increase in players.
European: Foxes, Ravens and Storm. Tailored for folks who live in Euro time zones, these longstanding teams welcome new players. Contact Tuvok Dingson for more information.

Our websites, managed by professional scriptor Dyz Warburton of Dyzware, include a ton of information on starting, league history, player forums, and much more. Our games are engineered to communicate directly with a unique statistics engine site, which records games IN PROGRESS and keeps complete statistics on each team and player.
Sunday 2pm games are filmed by the famous TreetTV (formerly SLCN) with our own announcers, Kert Upshaw and Bedtime Bobbysocks. We are especially excited this season as we work with TreetTV to bring GOHA to larger audiences both in and out of the SL world. Treet has expanded its services and significantly increased its film quality and we are being seen in SL and other virtual worlds and places throughout the net.
