I'm looking for a few brave souls that are willing to get a great deal on a new table game in exchange for being a bit of a guinea pig :D How's that for an intro? The truth is, I don't own a club or casino, nor do I have an interest in doing so (I have no idea how you host-folks manage to do it day in and day out... my tipping went up five-fold after the first time I held a themed gathering for some friends and realized how much work it is :D) and my new game here is an up-to-10 player table game. I just don't have a feasible way to beta test the thing with a full table. So this is your opportunity to get a great deal and give me a hand with this!

From my informational notecard (yes, it sounds kind of pitch-y, I apologize!):

Give and Take - Strategic Dice Game - Created by Leonine Labs

Give and Take is a game of strategy and chance for up to 10 players. This is a pot-based game with a configurable house cut. Set it out, advertise its presence, and the more they play, the more you make! No worrying about hosting games, players contributing unequally to a by-donation prize pot, or holding a reserve of Lindens for slot jackpots. "Set it and forget it!" This is a great side game for your club or casino, and it encourages socialization between your guests. Happy guests spend more time and more L$ in your place of business. That's a fact!

The goal of the game is to be the player with the most coins when the pot is emptied. This is done through a roll of the dice. Players can choose how many dice they roll based on the number of coins they currently have. But the more dice they roll, the more they risk, as not only can the dice give them coins, but they can also take coins away... or even give them to the players sitting next to them! If the pot ends up with all the coins, the prize carries over to the next round. This can end up resulting in some large prizes if the players are unlucky!

Give and Take Features
- Fully customizable via the settings notecard:
- Dice configuration (number of 'sides' of each type of dice)
- Player charge
- House cut
- Initial center pot size (controls the length of each round)
- Player inactivity timeout

I've got a demo up and running in the Mfume shop in the SE corner of the "Cub Conclave" sim if you want to take a look first. I'm putting 3 units up for purchase on SLX for L$1500 a piece. The final price will probably be around L$7500. If you're interested, visit this link... otherwise keep your eyes open for the full release announcement in... whenever I'm confident in the final product :D

For what it's worth, the only thing I'm really worried about is visual glitches in the floating text, and maybe a memory issue. With 10 players, there's a lot of information in that text, and it's limited to 255 characters. If it cuts off the text with a full table, I may have to cut the table back to 8 players.

And even if you don't buy the game, if you try it out, let me know what you think of the concept and implementation. If it seems familiar, it's a twist on a game called "Left-Right-Center". That game is purely luck. I added a few strategic choices to the game to make it something more than just an intricate slot machine :D

A dice version of the card game Spades that incorporates multi-players (more than the usual 4) would be cool, fairly easy to make and could be low lag...not sure this helps, but sometimes brevity isn't only just the soul of wit, but applicable to many other things.

Good luck with beta (esp post update).
