Flexing, so far, and to come

Flexing prims are great thus far, but how will they affect the overall load on servers? Since they're likely to replace toruses as the favorite for hair, are they a major lag factor?

Now for suggestions/requests. Can you throw in an option to specifiy the ancor point for flexing prims? This would be nice for having both sides bend while the middle is rigid. Then, what about making round prims that squish and expand? Those would be handy for things like making muscles that flex realistically. Finally, is it in the long-term plan to make things that are attached to the flexing end of a prim stick to it? Wanted to make a tail with spikes on it, but that's not possible currently.

Otherwise, keep up the good work you guys. ;)

Linking things the to the end of flexible objects requires the notion of a link hierarchy with true parents and children. This will come later, but the extension to flexible objects will be automatic.

As for load, there is no additional load on the servers since flexible objects are a completely client-side effect.

Oooookay, so how much strain on the client then? That is usually the culpret when talking "lag" among us, the unwashed masses.
