unlinked prims stay selected ONLY

Whenever I unlink (a) prim(s), the entire linked object PLUS the newly unlinked prims get selected. This is annoying. Only the unlinked prim(s) should be selected after they are unlinked!

Totally agree. I'm sending a bug report on this too. :)

Just an update I did check again and the current behavior in both 1.8.3.10 and 1.9.0.7 is what we expect it to be. With Edit Linked Parts on, unlink a prim from a linkset and it will only keep that prim highlighted. Thanks goodness. :)

Try it with multiple prims. I've had problems with single prims not remaining selected ONLY too...

Kk, that is different with multiple prims. Can you please IM me or post the bug report # you filed on this? I'm going to reference it.

I don't have the bug report #, sorry. My spam filter took care of SL emails for a while before I realized it. :/ I think I reported it about a month or so ago.

Even with multiple prims it doesn't always happen; unlinked prim selection is flakey.

Currently on the main grid unlinking multiple prims from a linked set leaves both the unlinked prims and the linked set selected at the end of the operation. I was being irritated by the behaviour just last night - but I've always assumed it was a 'by design' feature rather than a bug. :D
