have tried to preview 1.8 and get kicked out on login for invalid username or password
please advise

Same here. I'm not running Mac OSX 4, though I'm on OSX 3.9, so I don't know if that's an issue.

Yes. Passwords and accounts seem to be drawn from a db snapshot taken around 10/12.

As of now all I am getting is the same grid down messgae on both preview and main grid this is rediculous as LL has offered no explanation of why the preview grid is down and/or how long the main grid will be down for. Have you ever wondered given how this happens the night before every update lately if its a LL trick to get more time to work on the update?

Don't know about the preview grid, IT'S NOT GUARANTEED anyway, but check the announcement forum. They have an ETA on the main grid.

Erm no its not to get more time, and yes i know why the preview is down, the sheer volume of people trying to login after the main grid went down overloaded the database server on the preview which is in no means any comparison in power to the main grid and just couldnt handle the load. _____________________

The preview log in is offline due to the load on it, they hope to re open it shortly..
