Flashlight script

Ive looked through the forums and the best flashlight script i could find was one that changed an object from glass to light at night. Can anyone help me get a script that when a text command is said, it turns the object from glass to light, and changes the texture of an object from alpha to no texture. That way you could have the color set to a yellowish and the transperency at 80-90%ish so when you said the text command, such as !on, it would turn from glass to light and light up the area around you and its texture would change from alpha to the default no texture and it would seem to have a beam of light coming out of it. Is it possible and can anyone help me build it? I have basicly no scripting knowledge.
