Reading a topic about the uselessness of the 'most popular places' list in SL, it occurred to me that perhaps a Second Life version of the site stumbleupon (for those that don't know it, it provides a browser plugin that allows people to specify which sites they like and dislike, and the option to 'stumble upon' a random site, selected based on their stated preferences) would be more useful. A user could wear a HUD attachment which would either accept explicit thumbs up/down ratings of the place they're in, or simply record the amount of time someone spends in that place. The site could use this to calculate preferences, and when the user clicks the hud's 'stumble' button, it would pick a place in SL that it thinks the user will find interesting and offer to teleport them there.

Does this seem practical/useful? Would _you_ use it?
