Last night I discovered that the river which was once my property line has been blocked, and the island above which my skybox is located is now a peninsula. At no time was I consulted in any way, and this change was thus quite a surprise. Adding insult to injury, the land to which my island is now attached, once private land supporting first a couple of houses and more recently a mall, is now Linden land, apparently about to be sold. Here is the sim, location and price information:

Beachfront Protected Land For Sale Grahica 71,105, 37 9840 square meters, 65,000

At this time the "For Sale" box is not checked, so the land cannot be bought, but it is obvious that it will go on the market soon. I have tried to restore the river, at the expense of my own real estate, for obviously I cannot edit Linden land. However, I have been unsuccessful at making my island an island once more. The river is ostensibly protected, although I cannot know who applied that description. My property WAS bounded on two sides by Linden land, and I bought there having seen my house in another sim become surrounded by high rises of various types.

I feel that Linden is in an advantageous enough position to restore the boundaries to their original state with little loss of income. In addition, while I do not need another 9840, I will happily buy the other shore once my island is restored, and also happily retain the protected status the land now enjoys. If I must, in order to be secure in my home and boundaries, I will buy the whole parcel, but may not be able to afford to keep the whole thing protected. Land use fees being what they are, I would need for the land to pay for itself somehow.

I spoke with Temple Linden through Live Help on 3/9/06 and the matter may have already been referred to the proper department, but I figured the story in my own words and a picture would not hurt. Please feel free to ask for any information I have not provided. Grahica is fairly new, and you may still have maps of its original configuration. Even in their absence, it will not be too difficult to see how it once was, for there was a pretty much straight flow from the waterfall to the sea. I receive IMs as emails while not logged on, so please reply asap. I hope this can be resolved before the land goes up for sale. Thank you, and be well

Hello Zebulon2. I took at this land and reverted the terrain to the original lay. I can not guarantee that the next owner will leave it in this condition, however.

I am not certain of the status of this parcel, but I think it will probably go to auction in the future. I would suggest you just keep your eye on the land and the auction page if you are interested in purchasing it.

Hope this helps!
