We own about 90% of the Oceellata sim, and it is interwoven with linden waterways...some within 20m of, and parrallelling, the sim edge. I'm wondering if these are actually mandatory to the health and well being of SL or the sim, and whether then can be put up for auction.... They are flagged as maintenance, but I see no rhyme or reason for them to exist,a nd they are 'forcing' elevation on the entire sim (ie, our sim high and low points are dicatated by these forced elevation levels).

Hello disisme. Protected Land is used to allow for a right of way through a region and to ease prim resources. Once an area is marked as protected, it is rarely resold. The Protected Land in Ocellata is primarily underwater and I do not really understand the issue you mention with elevation restriction. Feel free to IM me in world if you would like to discuss it further.
