Dear Nova:

You have always helped me out & I personally regard you as the soul of the company. If you could look into this, I would be most grateful.

Colona sim was recently auctioned off after being one of two small protected sims that were fashioned into a small lake in the Atoll area next to Bella.

What was once a beautiful protected lake, with logical organic borders, is now half a “protected” lake with a bunch of islands poking out of the other half. It is horrible to look at, where there was once open water for recreation and to enjoy the sunsets—beside the fact that the area just makes no sense anymore. If you take a look, you’ll see what I mean.

Most of us in the area bought the land specifically because of the lake. You’ll notice that tons of parcels around the edges are now for sale, notably some long-time players with large land holdings who would rather just move than complain apparently. Although there are some protest signs from other residents besides me which you can see if you fly around, and I talk to one today who wanted to sell all of their land and be done with land ownership (I must admit the thought has crossed my mind recently as well).

I am proposing LL buy back this sim and return it to Protected status like the other half of the lake remains (Haploa). I believe the decision (or mistake?) of selling this sim off to be detrimental to the company in the long run.

Thank you for your time.

Smith

Smith, I will gladly forward your thoughts on to my superiors! I'm sorry so many of you have been negatively affected by what happened, and I'm not entirely sure what happened there.. I don't remember the original lay of the sim as it was put down a long time ago, but it seems if we meant for it to be one way, it would have been that way from the beginning.

Selling of protected land is happening more and more often, started to get a little concerned.. I -know- it's not us doing it. I wish I could give you a more definite answer right now, so I apologize for that. I'll do what I can!

Well after some research and discussion, it seems the land was actually sold some time ago, and then probably resold to a land developer. We only protect the edges of sims, or where waterways/roadways will be.

As far as the buying back the land, I'm very sorry, but the land was never intended to be completely open space and we won't be repurchasing it.
