We just bouhgt a sim (Philermere 147, 241) and have linden land running through it in a nice lightning bolt pattern. We are turning it into a city and were wondering if it could be turned into say a river with a couple bridges over it or do we have to leave it as it is?

Sorry, when the terrain is set up, it's pretty much in final stage, save for the bits up for auction. Philemere is slated for roading within the near future, but you can feel free to work around that area and build over it as long as the parent prims are on your land so they don't get returned. ^^
