To my dear friends at Linden Lab,

Consider this my thank you note, my dear friends at Linden Lab. A thank you note for the lovely new cobblestone road you planted in my backyard in the Northwest corner of Slosser.

I always wanted a new road. (Hell, I always wanted two brand new sims opened up next to me, but that's another thank you card for another day!) I carefully buy my 6800m2 of land, pay you my land fees ($62.50 a month, mind you.), build and develop my property. My "second home," if I may. I landscape. I make it pretty. I even plant trees! And what do you do? You tear down the beautiful wooded area that was my Linden-owned backyard, and you plant a road there!

Well thanks a bunch!

Now my lovely little backyard is gone, replaced by this disgusting cobblestone road that no one can rez anything on! I can't even drive my Second Life car behind my house!

Brilliant planning, my friends. Instead of leaving the land lush and serene, you throw down a useless road that NO ONE WILL USE. And you force me to plant about a hundred or so trees to block the windows of my house so that I can have an ounce of privacy. Because with the road so close, someone can stand out there and look directly into my home and see me doing....stuff.

So thank you for this early Christmas present, Linden Lab. Your thoughtlessness and lack of consideration for your customers is absolutely wonderful. Now each and every day when I look out of those windows at that hideous road, I can ask myself, "Katie... Why the @#%& do I pay $62.50 a month for this game?"

Sincerely,
Katie Fleming

Katie, I am sorry to hear that you are disturbed by this. I understand a lot of people are, and while I realize it's a difficult thing to face, change does come in SL. The unfortunate circumstance is that there is a lot of roading that is incomplete out there, and I am personally working as quickly as possible to resolve it in a matter that is -not- offensive to the eye. Apparently I failed in this particular stretch.

-However-.

Anything you see as protected land owned by the Governor is subject to the use of Linden Labs and will be used as is seen fit. While I understand your frustrations, please understand ours as well - there are rezzing points at nearly all the telehubs (and if there are not, please contact me for any you see missing), and we do not keep a large time limit up on most of them to discourage the spamming of roadways which only leads to more displeasure for those of you living near the roads.

In the future, please contact support@secondlife.com regarding these issues - this forum is intended for use to point out where roads need fixing, things are broken, etc. I encourage you to read the sticky posted at the top of the forum.
