Prims over protected land?

I noticed a new and rather large gated army bridge over protected land in Tethys. Part of the roadway was adjusted by a linden to accomodate this structure.

What's SL policy on private prims hung over protected land? Is it allowed? If so, then what does "protected" mean? Be good to know for the rest of us who own land in that sim and property adjacent to protected land elsewhere

It is allowed, but cannot obstruct the road. There's no precise rule of thumb, but advertising is a no-no and room must be left for a decent sized vehicle.
