To go some way towards protecting my residential land (I own a parcel that I've named Minoa on the Xalapa sim) where I'm building my house from griefer attacks, in my "about land" screen's "ban" tab I've checked the "deny no payment info on file" box; thus, someone on an unverified account cannot enter my parcel. This choice of mine - one that I made on the first day I bought my land almost a month ago - has recently given me some rather useless drama from one of my neighbors. You see, she's a domme of somewhat gorean inclinations and has bought a slavegirl from someone else. This particular slavegirl is, well, a "no payment info on file" user. About a week ago, they mentioned that the slavegirl cannot visit my land and I explained to them in very plain and simple terms that this land management choice of mine has absolutely nothing to do with her (the slavegirl) and that I'm not removing this restriction; not now, not ever. Not even for a few minutes.

About two days ago, one of her friends asked me if I've banned the slavegirl from my land - as if I were supposed to know, a month ago, that someone would buy land close to me and that someone would purchase a slave who's on an unverified account; I answered, again, that all unverified account holders are banned from my land for safety reasons and that now with the CopyBot problem there was no way I would *ever* remove this restriction.

Lo and behold, half an hour later, that woman's slavegirl announced to me that I was banned from that property for my "bad attitude towards the clan's property" (the clan is that domme's group and the clan's property is this particular slave). In my book, this is ridiculous:

1. A user punishing another user for practicing his/her land management rights as provided by LL and the ToS is preposterous. There are plenty of parcels out there where access is available strictly to members of a particular group and outsiders are banned. It's their choice; they want to be undisturbed when they're at home, they don't want others leaving litter on their land, they don't want griefers pulling stunts on their land. Should all these people who put the value of the domestic sanctuary very high in their priorities be banned from other people's lands because of this?
2. To think that a general banning of unverifieds from a parcel, a setting placed on the same day I bought the land, has *anything* to do with a particular person who started hanging out on this sim at a much later date is, to say the least, conceited.
3. When you have an issue with someone, have the dignity, honor and courage to go and talk to them. Don't use proxies and cronies.
4. Instead of all this drama, she could very well turn have her slave turn into a "payment info on file" account, without any monetary charges to the slavegirl.

I don't care about having access to that woman's land. I'm actually glad that she showed her true colors now that I haven't yet had any significant and/or sensitive interactions with her, and not at a much later date. What I do wish is for people to know that even doing something they have every right to do might give them drama from a specific kind of neighbor.

I have also filed an abuse report (abuse report #495503) on this and am expecting an answer from the Lindens on issues like this.
