After a long wait to find First Land available I saw a number of lots pop up in my First Land search about 40 min ago. I immediately TP'ed to one of the lots and found I was first there and the land was avaiable. I immediately clicked the buy button, but was met with an error message stating my account was disabled. The same happened on several other lots. I then went to the manage account site, but could not logon due to invalid name or pw. This despite the fact I never have any problem loggin into SL.
I contacted online help, and they were able to find and fix the problem, but in the mean time I lost my opportunity to purchase a First Land lot. I had no indication there was a problem with my account until I attempted to purchase land. I could buy items, transfer funds to my basic account, and earn $L without problem.
It is very galling to wait and wait for First Land to become available, be the first on scene, and then not be able to purchase due to a technical glitch on Linden's side. With all due respect, I think Linden owes me an opportunity to puchase a First Land lot.
