SOLUTION:

"2. Set 'return other residents objects' to 300 minutes"

That did it. I deleted my own landscaping, as it belonged to the designer. Sheesh!

=========

I bought a parcel recently. It came with a covenant. A very nice parcel, with water access, trees, sand, jetty, moonlit sky, cottage etc. New England theme, private sim. So far, so lovely.

-> Today I got an email from the sim owner that I would have to pay for the replacement of the landscaping. What?! I hadn't removed anything.

I went there, and the trees had gone. Get this, they weren't _my_ trees, they were the landscapers. My two trees, my house, and my other bits and pieces were still there.

Even the slab the house came on, and the jetty, were gone. Stranger still, the objects hadn't been returned to the landscaper.

The only ususual things I'd done recently there were:

1. To try out freebies, including weapons. Could I have somehow blasted everthing except my own stuff to oblivion?
2. Set 'return other residents objects' to 300 minutes
3. Disallowed other residents to create objects.

I didn't do much messing about there, as the owner made it clear it wasn't that sort of sim. It's as sedate as I imagine New England is in real life.

I remember noticing vaguely the place looked a little bare last time I was there, but I put it down to objects not rezzing properly.

Even if I pay to replace this stuff, what's to stop it happening again? I've very annoyed.

Any clues appreciated!

PS: Anyone who wants a nice bit of classy land, get in touch, as I'm not going to put up with this again. Next time I'm geting a 1000msq bare box, and putting free stuff only in it!

Hello Tom. I am sorry you are having trouble. This sounds like land on an estate due to the mention of a covenant, so you should talk to the estate manager about the land settings and any issues you may have there. If the land is deeded to a group, make sure the objects that you want to avoid the auto return are set to that group.
