I wish there was something that could be done about abandoned land owned by a player. In kirkstone I have a neighbor directly next to me that has untextured boards (not even attenmpting to make a sturcture) all over. They have not touched it (moved a single board) since Nov of last year! It really looks awful. I have tried contacting the owner with no luck.
There also is another plot of land with 1/2 of a structure directly in front on my plot (over water) that has been abandoned since February. No luck contacting the owner.
When looking at their profile its doesnt indicate online or offline but unknown. What does this mean?
I love building on my land and really take pride in my area. Its too bad some people treat their lands as trash dumps. Its really discouraging.

Hi Alyssa, thank you for posting your concerns!
If land is abandoned for great lengths of time an account will eventually be stricken from the system, thus returning land to Governor's ownership, which will then in turn be released for auction or First Land. The exception to this would be that the owner has a quarterly, yearly or even lifetime subscription, which means it could be longer than the usual span of 60 days. While I understand your frustrations completely, there is nothing that can be done outside of the current way of doing things when it comes to handling supposedly abandoned land.
When it shows that the owner is in "Unknown" status, it means you do not have their calling card and therefore cannot see if they are on or offline.
The only advice I can offer is to be patient; either the land owners will return and can work with you on the matter, or eventually (barring lifetime memberships) the land will be rolled back to Governor.
